Harrisburg, PA — Tickets are now available for the second annual Celebration of Pennsylvania Harness Racing, a dinner and awards banquet to take place on Saturday, December 6, at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs racino.

The Celebration features those who have made a strong positive contribution to Pennsylvania harness racing in the last year. Fair champions, leading Sire Stakes horses, and a “Pennsylvania Harness Horse of the Year” will be featured on the equine side; the top owners, trainers, drivers and breeders will also be recognized, as will the Groom of the Year and others meriting recognition for Pennsylvania accomplishment.

It should also be noted that the U.S. Trotting Association’s annual District 7 (Pennsylvania) meeting will be taking place the afternoon before the Celebration, for those that may want to attend both functions.

Tickets for the Celebration of Pennsylvania Harness Racing are priced at $25, and there is a definite seating capacity limit of 300 for the event. Tickets can be ordered through the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association Web site at www.pahha.com.

This Web site will also provide information on hotel accommodations at the nearby East Mountain Inn, where a block of rooms have been saved at a reduced price — but just like the tickets, there is a limited availability, so you may want to take care of these arrangements now!
