Vernon, NY — Century Invader (John MacDonald) and War Of Will (Brad Irvine) captured the co-features at Vernon Downs on Sunday (June 15).
Century Invader ($6.70) won the $7,500 featured trot.
Century Invader was first to the quarter in :27.1. He used a :29.4 second quarter to lead to the half in :57. Century Invader cruised to three-quarters in 1:26.3.

As they reached the stretch second place finisher Topville Swift Dan (Jimmy Whittemore) came motoring out of the pocket and challenged Century Invader for the lead. Topville Swift Dan kept coming but Century Invader dug in and won in 1:56. Jesmach On Target (Chris Long) finished third.
Century Invader is a 6-year-old gelding by Resolve. He is owned by Leann Simek and trained by Joe Sansone. It was his third win this season and his 10th career victory.
War Of Will ($13.20) fired late to win the $7500 featured pace.
Capt Jack Hanover (John MacDonald) led to the quarter in :26.2, He slowed things way down with a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.3. Upallnightbluechip (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) came first-up to challenge going around the final turn. Capt Jack Hanover was first to three-quarters in 1:25.1.
As they entered the stretch second place finisher Capt Jack Hanover shook off Upallnightbluechip. War Of Will came flying like a freight train and blew right on by to win in 1:52.2. Bluesville (Ron Harp) was third.
War Of Will is a 6-year-old gelding by Captaintreacherous. He is owned by the Betcha Win Stables and trained by Jeff Sorenson. It was his second win this season and his 15th career victories.
Jimmy Whittemore and Dylan Huckabone-Miller had driving triples. Jimmy Whittemore and Dale Lawton had training doubles.
