Chance for part ownership of a Wisconsin racehorse

from Bucket List Racing Stable and Wisconsin Harness Horse Association

Platteville, WI — Have you ever dreamed of owning a racehorse? One Wisconsin horse owner has worked tirelessly to make that dream a reality.

“For the entire summer racing season in Wisconsin (June-September), individuals can purchase a two percent share of a 7-year-old pacer named Do Me Bliss,” explains owner Susan Schroeder. “By setting up a public partnership, folks can own a piece of a real racehorse for just $50, with no other expenses.”

Do Me Bliss (Gabe Wand) was a winner at the Vernon County Fair in 2012.

Schroeder created the Bucket List Racing Stable, LLC, so anyone can enjoy the thrill of owning a horse and going to the Wisconsin county fairs to watch it race. Owners will receive a Bucket List T-shirt, photo opportunities with their horse, the right to sit in the Bucket List Racing Stable cheering section at the fairs, the chance to be in the winner’s circle for any win photos and the right to brag to all of your friends that you own a racehorse!

Schroeder has enlisted the services of Wisconsin horseman Gabe Wand as the trainer and driver.

“I’m very excited to have Wisconsin’s reigning four-time Driver of the Year committed to training and driving this horse all year,” explains Schroeder. “Gabe, along with his father Bob, trained him last year and won all five of his Wisconsin fair starts, which earned Do Me Bliss a spot among the top ten pacers in the state of Wisconsin.”

“I got the opportunity to drive the Blissy Monster for the past two racing seasons and you couldn’t ask for a more game race horse,” says Wand. “He is the perfect horse for the Bucket List as he does everything he’s asked and loves attention in the barn. I urge everyone who wants to participate to sign up and come out and see him both on and off the track.”

The Wisconsin Harness Horse Association is a non-profit organization that promotes harness racing throughout the state. Wisconsin racing continues from June-September at Mineral Point, Rice Lake, Weyauwega, Elkhorn, Richland Center and Viroqua. For the full racing schedule, log on to www.wiharnessracing.com.

“Susan has taken all of the guesswork out of owning a share of a racehorse,” says Wand, who is also president of the WHHA. She formed the LLC, formed the stable through the U.S. Trotting Association, took care of all the daily essentials; all the owners have to do is show up and have fun!”
