Chucaro Ahijuna is ready for business. In a training session at Solvalla the tango horse danced around the oval in an impressive manner.

Trainer Paul Bernardo drove Chucaro Ahijuna a mile on Wednesday morning and expects the eight-year-old stud to be at his best in Sunday’s Elitlopp.
“He feels very good and knows what he needs to do,” says the trainer Paul Bernardo. On Sunday Wally Hennessey will drive at Solvalla. Paul Bernardo thinks that his star horse will be at the top of his game.
“My horse likes to win. I think we’ve had bad luck in the last three or four races, now I hope that the rail is going to help us to the final.”
Chucaro Ahijuna is in the first elimination against Gidde Palema and Love You, competition that both is scary and exciting for Paul Bernardo.
“The Elitlopp is full of the world’s best horses. Maybe Chucaro Ahijuna doesn’t have the experience, but he will not make a fool out of himself.
Bernard about the big crowd, “That’s not a problem. He has raced in Argentina in front of 15,000 people and saw some crazy things like people jumping over the fence and waving flags.”
It seems like Chucaro Ahijuna likes Solvalla’s track. Paul Bernardo drove him a mile on Wednesday morning and the eight-year-old stud looked splendid.
“He trained [in a time of about 2:04] as he was supposed to and went easily the fractions I had planned. We need some luck on Sunday, but anything can happen and I expect him to be at his best,” said Bernardo.
