Cynthia Kay Paisley, 52, dies

Columbus, OH — Cynthia Kay Paisley (Smith), 52, the wife of longtime Standardbred driver Walter Paisley, died Sept. 29, 2011, after a seven-year battle with breast cancer.

She was born Oct. 28, 1958, and held various jobs during the course of her lifetime, but her favorite and most important, was being a wife and mother.

In addition her husband, she is survived by her children, Paige, Morgan and Grant; step-mother, Barbara Smith; sisters, LuAnn (Brian) Talsma, Deana (Michael) Kinzler and Chris (Casey) Cherry; brothers, Richard (Judy) Smith and Steven (Tony) Lantz; and several nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her son, William; and her parents, C. Deane Smith and Mary Coleman Smith.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, from 2-6 p.m. at Woodbine Bend Golf Course, 3500 East Center Road, Stockton, IL. Services will be private.
