Harrington, DE — James Craparotta and Pat Berry Racing’s Daburg ($2.10, Berry) was the fastest of five Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) 2-year-old trotting stakes winners Wednesday (Sept. 27) at Harrington Raceway with a 2:02.1 triumph.
Daburg assumed command near the opening quarter mile and stayed there comfortably save for a game late challenge by Going Platinum, who was second. DE Platinum was third. Daburg, a daughter of Anders Bluestone, improved to 2-for-2 lifetime for trainer Traci Berry.

Jane Dunavant’s Glide Along ($15.00, Cody Polseno) sprung an upset in the first filly division with a 2:02.3 win over favorite Marino’s Prize and Wolfpack Wilma. The Glidemaster filly made her first career start a winning one for trainer Carlo Poliseno.
Andrew Glassmeyer’s Lovie’s Place ($9.60, Montrell Teague) won the final filly division in 2:04.3 over Platinum Proposal and Rip Away despite an early miscue. It was her first career start for her owner and trainer.
Pam Wagner’s Ronnie Ridge ($3.40, Victor Kirby) won the first colt and gelding division in 2:04. The El Platinum gelding led all the way for trainer-driver Kirby in achieving his first career win. LG’s Jaxon was second with Bonnies Blue Rock third.
The final DSBF division on the card went to Deborah Warnick’s Royal Beep Beep ($12.00, Allan Davis) in 2:04.2. The Yankee Royalty gelding was a front-end winner for trainer Jason Skinner over Its Oliver Now and Pulsator.
Following next week’s second preliminary round, the top eight point earners will return to compete in the $110,000 final on Oct. 11.
In the overnight feature, the $20,000 Open Trot, Nick Callahan, Yorwollahan Racing and Greg Godbout’s Star Razor ($9.40, Corey Callahan) won his third straight race in 1:57.1 over Fifty Ways and Not For Moni. The 5-year-old Dejarmbro gelding seized control early from post eight and appeared to be tiring in deep stretch but held off all comers in a blanket finish for his fourth win of the season.
