Greenville, OH — The Darke County Fair is thrilled to announce that the purses for the Gene Riegle Memorial and the Arnie Almahurst Trot have increased over the previous amounts shown.

This year’s Arnie Almahurst Trot will be going for $25,000. The Gene Riegle Memorial will be going for $45,000. This year’s purses make our races one of the richest of all county fairs.

Please join us by entering or coming to see these races on Thursday (Aug. 23). We will be celebrating with our souvenir glass and will also be awarded the 2018 Blue Ribbon Fair by the United States Trotting Association.

The race schedule for 2018 is as follows:
Friday (Aug. 17) – post time 6:30 p.m.
Saturday morning (Aug. 18) – post time 11:30 a.m.
Saturday evening (Aug. 18) – post time 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday (Aug. 22) – post time 7:30 p.m.
Thursday ( Aug. 23) – post time 5:30 p.m.
