Vernon, NY — The deadline for Late Closer payments at Vernon Downs is drawing near.

All nominations include a $500 payment and must be received by Friday, August 15.

The races will feature separate divisions for 4- and 5-year-old pacers and trotters who have won less than $125,000 (Mares $150,000) lifetime prior to August 1.

The eliminations will be held on Saturday, August 23, for an estimated purse of $10,000. Horses advancing to the finals will race on Monday, September 1, for an estimated purse of $50,000.
