Columbus, OH — Dennis Allen Reed, age 81, of South Solon, Ohio, and formerly of Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away on Saturday (Feb. 5) at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1941, in Franklin County, Ohio, to James and Flora (Henneke) Reed. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Reed worked as a horse trainer for most of his life and retired from Midland Acres. He enjoyed being with his family and had a passion for training.

Reed was preceded in death by his biological parents, as well as his aunt and uncle who raised him, Robert and Dora Hart. Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Reed, and her boyfriend, Joey George; grandchildren, Brent and Nicholas Copas; and his ex-wife, Debbie Reed.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home, Washington Court House, Ohio.
