USTA District 2 meets

Columbus, OH – On Tuesday (Oct. 18), Chairperson Marilyn Breuer-Bertera and Directors Sam Hedington, Steve Oldford, Scott Peine and Mike Sweeney hosted the annual District 2 meeting via Zoom.

The meeting included a discussion of and voting on the 21 rule and bylaw change proposals. The 2023 proposed rule changes may be found here.

Following are the results of the 2023 proposals from District 2:

Proposal #1 – Saddle Pad Colors: REJECTED
Proposal #2 – Infield Pond Barriers: ACCEPTED as amended to read “All track infield ponds shall be enclosed with a fence (or barrier).”
Proposal #3 – Racing Official/Driver Conflict of Interest: REJECTED
Proposal #4 – “No Contest” Criteria: ACCEPTED
Proposal #5 – Stallion Syndicate Requirements: ACCEPTED
