Slick Artist A notches Meadows feature; Wrenn wins six

Washington, PA — Slick Artist A threw down a :27 third quarter that allowed her to open daylight on the field and capture Tuesday’s (Oct. 18) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Arnie’s Angel attacked the leader first-over down the backside and even stuck her nose in front. But when Slick Artist A clicked off that swift panel for Dave Palone, the challenger had to retreat. Slick Artist A prevailed in 1:54.2, two lengths better than the rallying Irish Daydream, while Arnie’s Angel saved show.

Ronnie Wrenn Jr. collected six wins on the 13-race card, including four for trainer Ron Burke.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Wednesday (Oct. 19), when a 12-race program features a pair of carryovers: $3,873.44 in the final-race Super Hi-5 and $1,838.62 in the Jackpot Pick-5 (races 4-8). First post is 12:45 p.m.
