Disturbed Hanover upsets at 20-1 at Dover Downs

Dover, DE – The father-son combo of trainer W. Bart Dalious and his son driver Barton with Disturbed Hanover upset the field in the Mares Open Pace at Dover Downs on Wednesday night (Feb. 23).

Disturbed Hanover was sent off at odds of 20-1.  It was a three-horse scramble for the early lead at the quarter pole.  Tae and Feeling Sweet parked Shes Pukka N three wide at the quarter, then retreated.  Shes Pukka N set fractions of :26.2, :55.3 (29.1) 1:24.2 (28.4).

Disturbed Hanover raced bravely first over past the half then challenged pacesetter Shes Pukka N at the three quarter pole.  Moments Of Joy caught second over cover on the outside. The 4-5 race favorite Soho Burning Love A shadowed third over on the rim.

In the deep stretch, Disturbed Hanover and driver Barton Dalious grinded past Shes Pukka N late to win by three quarters of a length in 1:52.1 and paid $42 for the win.

Disturbed Hanover (Big Jim) is owned by The Whiz Kids Stable LLC of Dover, DE. Shes Pukka N cut the mile and finished second for trainer Brian Malone. Tony Morgan drove.  Soho Burning Love A finished a fast closing third for trainer Jim King Jr. Tim Tetrick drove.

Tim Tetrick had a driving triple on the betting card.
