Winter weather is causing cancellations at Dover Downs and the Meadowlands.

Dover cancels live card on Tuesday

Dover, DE — Following a winter storm that dumped nearly two feet of snow last weekend and with another winter storm with predictions of another 10 to 12 inches of snow, the Tuesday, Feb. 9, racing program at Dover Downs has been canceled.

The National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning projects snow to begin by mid- to late-afternoon. All horses that compete at the track are vanned-in from as far away as more than 100 miles, thus racing for the day has been canceled.

The next scheduled card at Dover is on Wednesday, Feb. 10, with post time slated for 4:30 p.m.
