Racing Roundup: No mystery as Mystery Chase cruises in Meadows feature

from harness publicists around North America

Tuesday’s (Feb. 9) Racing Roundup features stories from The Meadows.

Washington, PA — Mystery Chase took all the mystery from Tuesday’s $25,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows when he powered to the front and clicked off an unchallenged victory.

Eric Ledford sent Mystery Chase toward the lead, where he briefly engaged Transcending before clearing. Following a 29.3 second-quarter breather, the 5-year-old son of Real Artist-Search For Cam cruised home, scoring in 1:52.3 over a good surface. Transcending was 2-1/2 lengths back in second while Western Bay rallied for show.

Donnie Russell trains Mystery Chase, who pushed his career earnings to $643,597, and owns with Edward Needle. Ledford and Brett Miller each drove three winners on the 15-race card.

The Meadows has canceled Wednesdays live races due to southwestern Pennsylvania’s second major snowstorm in five days. The next live card is set for Friday, Feb. 12 first post 3:55 PM.
