Dover, DE — Dover Downs has announced a 20 percent purse increase for the balance of its current meet, which ends April 14.

Concerning feature races, on Mondays the Preferred Pace will go for a $36,000 purse, the Delaware Special races for $33,000 and Open Paces for a $24,000 purse. The Filly/Mares Open Pace will boast a $24,000 purse on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, the Open Trot will have a $24,000 purse.

All races will include a 20 percent increase.

These purse increases do not affect the upcoming Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund 3-year-old events, which begin in late March featuring $20,000 preliminaries with the top eight finishers qualifying for $100,000 finals for colt and filly trotters and pacers.
