Nichols, NY — The 34th edition of the Dr. Harry M. Zweig Memorial Trot will be drawn on Wednesday, August 6, and will head to the post at 6:50 p.m. on Saturday night, August 9, at Tioga Downs.

Nine of the ten finalists in the $1.5 million Hambletonian are eligible to the Zweig Memorial Trot. Hambletonian winner Deweycheatumnhowe is the lone horse among the ten that is not eligible for the Zweig Memorial Trot.

The 2008 Hambletonian Oaks champion Creamy Mimi is eligible to the Zweig Memorial fillies division. She is out of the Trond Smedshammer stable.

The current stakes record for the Zweig is 1:52.3, which was set by American Winner and Ron Pierce in 1993 and equaled in 2005 by Great George Two and Jonathan Roberts.

Prior to 2006 the Zweig Memorial was held in Syracuse over the one mile track.
