DSBF stakes contested before Harrington card cut short

Harrington, DE — Four $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) divisions for 3-year-old trotters were contested in an abbreviated Wednesday (June 21) card at Harrington Raceway.

Due to inclement weather, the card was canceled after five races.

Male divisional winners included Kodack Black ($2.10, Montrell Teague), a Kodak Lindy gelding who was a dominant 1:59.2 winner for owners George Teague, David Collins and Lakiya Teachey. Kodack Black is trained by Clyde Francis and recorded his eighth career win over Hespookshescores and I Got It Made.

The second colt and gelding division went to Paleface ($2.80, Ross Shand) for owner Shirley Shand. The Anders Bluestone gelding was a wire-to-wire winner in 2:02.3 on the sloppy racetrack over Reddy Fox and Perfect Twenty for trainer-driver Shand.

Jeff Clark’s She Is Strong ($3.00, Art Stafford Jr.) was a 2:00.3 winner in the first of two filly divisions. A daughter of Anders Bluestone, the seven-time winner was a wire-to-wire winner for her trainer-driver over Lilmisswontbewrong and Starlight Lounge. In the second filly division, James Craparotta and Pat Berry Racing’s Miss Daburg ($2.60, Berry) scored an open-length score over Gold Rate and Royal Flirt in 2:02.3. The Anders Bluestone filly dominated the field of six for her sixth lifetime win for trainer Traci Berry.

Live racing at Harrington continues on a Monday-through-Wednesday schedule. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
