Yonkers, NY — Daniel Dubé captured the final race on Friday night (Oct. 17) at MGM Yonkers Raceway with Crown Monarch to make him the newest member of the 10,000-win club for drivers.
A 4-year-old son of Father Patrick, Crown Monarch held sway on the front end to prevail in 1:57.3 for trainer Per Engblom and co-owners Engblom Stable LLC and Tomas Andersson.

Dubé, who sits 13th in the standings at Yonkers this year after he took much of the winter off, has driven horses to earnings of $139,451,660 during his career. The Quebec native’s best season for victories came in 1995, when he made 487 trips to the winner’s circle, and his best season money-wise was in 2008, when his drives pocketed $8,920,344.
Among the equine athletes that Dubé has been associated with include Horses of the Year Gallo Blue Chip and Rock N Roll Heaven, and two-time Breeders Crown champion Emoticon Hanover.
