Wilmore, KY — An elite group of in foal mares from Walnut Hall Ltd. share the stage with 170 yearlings and several hundred racehorses at the 60th annual Blooded Horse Summer Sale to be held Aug. 29 and 30 in Delaware, Ohio.
The sale offers a 722 horse catalogue sure to contain something of interest for every Standardbred enthusiast. Monday features 170 mostly black type yearlings along with racehorses and breeding stock. Tuesday is a full day of racehorses, green prospects and broodmares.
On Tuesday, Walnut Hall Ltd. continues its major reduction of equine holdings with a star studded consignment of in foal mares. These include a young daughter of the great trotting matron Amour Angus; a young half-sister to the winningest trotting gelding of all time, Arch Madness 1.50.2 ($4,288,881), along with his dam; a daughter of Walnut Hall Ltd. foundation mare Canne Angus and half-sister to Cameron Hall 4,1.53.4s ($1,816,236) and to the dam of Cantab Hall; and a half-sister to Godiva Hall 4,1.53.3f ($808,008).
“We have a wide selection of black type yearlings, as well as a lot of competitive racehorses and attractive green prospects,” said Blooded Horse Sale Manager Jerry Haws. “And of course, we are pleased to have this stellar group of Walnut Hall Ltd. mares. There are a number of other nice broodmares in the sale, some with foals by their side.”
