Sweden’s San Moteur and the winner of the 2022 Elitlopp, Etonnant of France, were both victorious this weekend.

San Moteur with Björn Goop had not raced since the Jubilee Prize at Solvalla back in August, and was a very easy winner at Färjestad, Sweden, while Etonnant had to fight for the victory at Vincennes.

San Moteur won a 1-5/16th mile event in 1:57.2f on Friday, while Etonnant was timed in 1:54.4 while winning the Group II race Prix Kerjacques at Vincennes by a neck on Saturday.

Both trotters have been invited to race in the 2023 Elitlopp at Solvalla on May 28.

At Färjestad a stake race for 5-year-old trotters was won by Jimmy Ferro BR, a German trotter sired by Love You, with Italian trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro in the bike. Jimmy Ferro BR won by a neck over long leading Seven Nation Army with Bo Westergaard. Jimmy Ferro BR lowered his mark from 1:54.4f to 1:52f; this is the fastest mile in Scandinavia so far in 2023.
