Yonkers, NY – Not only will there be plenty of stakes action on Friday night (June 27) at MGM Yonkers Raceway, but the Empire Terrace Dining Room will be open as well.
Friday’s proceedings on-track include the $300,000 MGM Yonkers Trot and $200,000 MGM Grand Messenger Stakes, Grade 2 events for 3-year-old males that begin this year’s Trotting and Pacing Triple Crowns. Also set to take place are their companion filly races, the Grade 3 Park MGM Pace and Grade 3 New York New York Mile, which drew enough entrants to be split in two divisions apiece.
As for the Empire Terrace Dining Room, it opens at 6 p.m. (EDT) and no reservations are required.

The buffet will cost $50 (does not include auto-gratuity and tax) per person.
Prior to Friday (June 27) night’s festivities, MGM Yonkers Raceway will have a $22,198.09 carryover and a $75,000 guaranteed pool in Thursday’s (June 26) Pick-5 sequence.
The guarantee in the Pick-5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program, and free past performances for the Pick-5, courtesy of TrackMaster, are available at handicapping.ustrotting.com. The Pick-5, which begins in race five and has a $1 minimum, is offered with a takeout rate of 20 percent.
MGM Yonkers Raceway is now operating on a Monday/Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday live racing schedule with post time each night at 6:45 p.m. (EDT).
