Nichols, NY — Enola (Mike Merton) captured the featured $15,000 Open Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (August 16).
Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) led to the quarter in :27. Enola ($7) then took control with a lap to go and was first to the half in :56.0. She cruised to three quarters in 1:24,3.

As they made the turn for home second place finisher Purple Lord popped out of the two-hole and went all out after the leader. Enola dug in and held on to win in 1:54.1. P Chico (Greg Merton) finished third.
Enola is a 5-year-old mare by Resolve. She is owned by David Livinsky and Go For Glory Stable while trained by Rob Harmon. It was her third win this season. She now has 16 career victories.
Nine races on the night with nine different drivers getting wins. Cameron Capone had a training double.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (August 17) with a post time of 1 p.m.
