Fair racing concludes in Napoleon

Napoleon, OH — The Henry County Fair at Napoleon, Ohio concluded its two-day meet Tuesday night (August 17) with 15 races (ten harness races and five trottingbred races).

Ricky Brown steered Score Card (Victory Sam-Mrs Jane) to victory in the only division of the 2-year-old colt trot. Junior Cole is the owner-trainer of Score Card. The colt toured the Napoleon oval in 2:11.2.

Cruisin N Surfin (Yankee Cruiser-Channel Surfer) took the fastest split of the 3-year-old filly pace in 2:03.2. Duke Sugg drove the filly for trainer Bill Webb with D and K Stables LLC picking up the expenses. Sugg also drove Forever Speedy (Stand Forever-Windturner) to victory in the other division in 2:06.2. Dave Baird is the owner-trainer of Forever Speedy.

Bill Webb trains and co-owns both divisional winners of the 3-year-old colt pace with Mark Headworth picking up the winning drive on each. Indian’s Rocket (Indian Fever-Judith Priest) captured the fastest division in 2:03.4. Ralph Roughton shares the bills on the gelding with Webb. Solid Stand (Stand Forever-Candy Kiss) came home in 2:04 to win the other split. Brady and Jane Galliers are the other co-owners of Solid Stand.

Joe Ewald’s Lima Silk (Ilooklikemymom-Shesha) found the winner’s circle in the the lone division of the 2-year-old filly trot after a mile in 2:12.4. Ryan Stahl drove the filly for trainer Alan Smith.
