Tiffin, OH — Tuesday afternoon (July 25) at the Seneca County Fair in Tiffin brought more rousing stretch drives and tight finishes as the nine-race card unveiled some promising young Ohio pacers and trotters.

In the first race first division $3,460 OFRC stake for 3-year-old filly pacers First Official and Mark Headworth made it official with a mile in 2:02.1h. The Jim Mullinax trained and co-owned (with Denny Miller) daughter of Art Official-Do Me First posted her initial win of 2017 and paid $16.60 to her supporters.

The third race put the photo-finish camera to work in the $4,852 OFRC 2-year-old colt pace when owner/trainer Steve Novak’s Freaky Feeling Guy, with Art McIlmurray driving, held off Johnny Danger and Mark Headworth by a head at the wire. The altered son of Feelin Friskie-Admirals Lady Di came his last quarter in :28.3 in a 2:01.3h mile.

Race seven’s $8,953 OFRC 3-year-old trot was taken by Chris Beaver, Synerco Ventures Inc., and Steven Zeehandelar’s Dekeyser in 2:02.2h as the Chris Beaver-conditioned colt by Dejarmbro gave Cameron McCown the third of his four victories for the day.
