Fields established for Breeders Crown events

East Rutherford, N.J. — The three Breeders Crown fields not requiring eliminations-both trotting events for older horses and one pacing event-were drawn first on Friday (Oct. 21) evening at the Meadowlands.

The two Breeders Crown fields for 2-year-old trotting fillies and older pacing mares were decided after elimination events contested on the evening’s card.

The remaining fields will be determined after 14 elimination contests are conducted on Saturday (Oct. 22) at the same facility.

The $421,000 Crown for older pacers shapes up to be a clash of the titans and is as follows:

In the $250,000 Crown for distaff trotters the field, with nominated drivers, reads:

The $500,000 Open Trot attracted a field of nine and is as follows:
