Stickney, IL — Racing fans will have multiple opportunities to take home some big bucks from the “opening bell to the closing buzzer” on Saturday night (May 28) at Hawthorne Race Course as five carryover pools, headlined by a big $60,000 Guaranteed Late Pick-5, will give fans plenty of opportunities to take home a pocketful of cash on the 12-race program.

After a night of fireworks for longshot players on Friday (May 27) helped create a carryover of $20,323 in the 50-cent Late Pick-5, Hawthorne’s track management along with the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program have joined forces to offer up the $60,000 guaranteed pool on the popular wager which takes place on the final five races of the night (8-12) on Saturday (May 28).

If that isn’t enough to get fans pumped about the chance to take home a big payday on Saturday night (May 28) a pair of $100+ winners on Friday (May 27) has helped create carryover pools of $3,656 & $3,240 in Saturday’s (May 28) Early Pick-5 and Early Pick-4 respectively.

The Early Pick-5 begins on the first race of the night (7:35 p.m. central) while the Early Pick-4 starts on race two. Both are 50-cent minimum wagers. There is also a carryover of $7,475 on the 20-cent Jackpot High Five which is on the final race of the night. The 20-cent Place Pick-10 (race one) has a carryover heading into Saturday’s card (May 28) which features several Late Closing Series Finals.

Handicappers across North America can get a head start on their competition with free 12-line program pages for the guaranteed pool courtesy of the USTA Strategic Wagering Initiative and Track Master on the handicapping section at www.ustrotting.com.

Once again post time at Hawthorne is now 7:35 p.m. (central). Be there early for your chance to make this a profitable Memorial Day Weekend.
