Wilkes-Barre, PA — Flash Move, who ended his 2023 campaign with a lifetime-best 1:50 victory in the Pennsylvania Stallion Series Championship for 3-year-old male pacers, shaved a fifth of a second off his career standard in Tuesday’s (May 21) $15,000 pacing feature at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.
Andy McCarthy got the Heston Blue Chip gelding away fourth behind a :26.2 first-quarter duel between Strengthfromabove and Alabamajamma. After Alabamajamma cleared and hit the half in :54.3, Flash Move angled first-over and ground forward to battle for the lead past the 1:22.1 three-quarters. The two continued their duel entering the stretch, and then Strengthfromabove worked to a short lead up the Pocono Pike just past mid-stretch. But Flash Move continued to give his best and outpaced Strengthfromabove by a neck in 1:49.4, with Alabamajamma holding for third, another 1-1/2 lengths back.

Tyler Buter and Anthony Napolitano guided three winners apiece.
