French top trotter Hohneck might race in the International Trot

Phillipe Allaire-trained Hohneck (sired by Royal Dream) with Gabriele Gelormini won the Prix de Washington at Enghien, Paris- France in convincing style in 1.51.3 followed by Go On Boy with trainer/driver Romain Derieux.

This was the second time Hohneck won the mile event at Enghien, which carries a purse for the winner of 54.000 Euro.

After the race, Phillipe Allaire said that he might be interested in racing Hohneck in The International Trot at Yonkers Raceway in September.

In Sweden, Stefan Melander-trained Click Bait (sired by Cantab Hall) with Per Lennartsson came from behind to win Aarjängs Stora Sprinterlopp in 1.53f followed by Hail Mary with Ôrjan Kihlström – who already is invited to race in the International Trot.

Click Bait, who won for the third time in 10 starts this year, picked up the winner’s purse of $55,000 dollars.
