A share in the 4-year-old French trotter Bold Eagle has just been sold for 100,000 Euros or $113,600.

The share is one of 90, which allows the holder to one lifetime breeding by Bold Eagle. That means that Bold Eagle has a total value of nine million Euros or $10.2 million!

Bold Eagle has been at stud this year. He stood for 5,000 Euro ($5,700) to be paid as the mare was covered plus 10,000 Euro ($11,400 dollars), live foal.

Bold Eagle is considered to be the next very big thing in French trotting. He has already stamped himself as a champion trotter, as he has 16 wins from 19 starts; among the wins are classic French trotting races like Criterium des 3 Ans and Prix de Selection.

On Sunday (Oct. 18) Bold Eagle will race in the European Trotting Derby, the Grand Prix de l’UET, in The Netherlands. The race has a total purse of 350,000 Euros or $400,000.

Bold Eagle is sired by Ready Cash, the richest French trotter ever and two-time winner of the Prix d’Amerique, and his grandsire is Love You, who is a leading stallion worldwide.
