Freshman filly trotters return to Eldorado Scioto Downs for Buckeye Stallion Series

Grove City, OH — Ohio 2-year-old filly trotters are back in action Wednesday night (Sept. 8) at Eldorado Scioto Downs for the fourth leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series.

Three divisions, totaling 22 fillies, go to the gate. Each division carries a purse of $17,500.

Through the first three legs, ten different fillies have visited the winner’s circle. Four past winners are back in action Wednesday night.

In the second division, Purple Aura and We Go We Go will square off. Purple Aura (Creatine) was a winner at the Champaign County Fair in Urbana for trainer Jason McGinnis and driver Anthony MacDonald in 2:01. We Go We Go (Long Tom) was a winner in the second leg at Scioto Downs in 1:59.1. Marion Chupp now trains We Go We Go with Brett Miller driving.

The first division will see Oftom (Long Tom), a winner at Urbana for the McGinnis-MacDonald combination. Oftom was a winner in 2:02.4.

The final division has Miss Cowboy Star (Long Tom), trained by Edward Miller and driven by Brett Miller. She was a winner at Urbana in 2:01.4.

First race post time at Eldorado Scioto Downs is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.

The Buckeye Stallion Series returns to Eldorado Scioto Downs Thursday night (Sept. 9), for the fourth leg of the 2-year-old filly pace.
