Clearfield, PA — Freshman trotters took to the track Wednesday (August 1) to greet a sunny third day of racing at the Clearfield County Fair.

Two Quaker Stake trots started off the day, with RT Let Her Rip going wire-to-wire for trainer/driver Robert Rougeaux. The RT Giant filly is owned by the Brocious Racing Stable, and scored her first win in three lifetime starts. The second Quaker event saw Order By Road and driver Chris Shaw hold off a challenge from Paragon Winner and Steve Schoeffel to score the victory in 2:12.4. Syl King, Jr. trains and Mahlon Martin owns the Chocolatier gelding, who also scored his first win in his second lifetime start.

PASS filly trotting action was up next on the card, with MM’s Miss Tess (Malabar Millennium) and driver Bill Daugherty using a fierce charge on the outside to defeat the dominant Solicitation and Roger Hammer in 2:08.1. Daugherty also trains, while son Jim Daugherty owns.

Lindyofalifetime was a 2:05.2 winner for driver Roger Hammer.

Bellagio Bay and driver Chris Shaw took the second division in 2:09.3 to score her first career victory in seven starts. The Tom Ridge filly is owned by the Dunn Stable and trained by Boots Dunn. The Dunn Stable and Boots Dunn made it two in a row in the third division when driver Roger Hammer steered Lindyofalifetime (Cantab Hall) to the winner’s circle in 2:05.2.

Rounding out the day were four divisions of the PASS colt trot. Eric Neal guided SJ’s Caviar sired Roe Is Me to his first career victory in seven starts in a time of 2:10.4. Bill Kreutzer trains and co-owns the brown gelding with Eileen Lineweaver.

The second division brought on a great deal of controversy between Albany House, with driver Roger Hammer, and Prince Lauxmont, with driver Wayne Long. The original winner, Albany House, was taken down and placed second after a video review revealed that he came down into Prince Lauxmont, who was placed the winner. The Supernatural gelding trotted the mile in 2:08, and is trained and co-owned by Wayne Long, along with Joyce Lineweaver.

Montour County (Sierra Kosmos) dominated the third division, clocking in at 2:08.2 for driver Bryce Truitt to score his fifth win of the season in just eight starts. John McMullen, Jr. trains and co-owns with Michelle McMullen.

Another dominating performance capped off the day, with Bsmaximummoondream winning once again for trainer/driver Dave Brickell. Brickell co-owns the Bedford County gelding with Sue Brickell. Bsmaximummoondream has now won six of his eight lifetime starts, trotting the mile in 2:06.1.
