Gale Moen, 85, dies

Columbus, OH — Gale Moen, 85, of Lapeer, Mich., died March 7, 2021, at home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday (March 12) at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 N. Gale Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Thomas Saunders, Jr. will officiate with interment at Dawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 2–5 p.m. Thursday (March 11). There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Mrs. Moen was born in Marquette, Mich., on Nov. 4, 1935, the daughter of the late Archie and Almeada (Roadabaugh) Connors. She married Raymond Moen on Aug. 7, 1953.

She trained and raced Standardbreds under Moen Stables, Inc. since the late 1970s. She was inducted into the Michigan Horse Racing Hall of Fame.

She also worked at AC as Labor Coordinator for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Moen is survived by her son, Bruce; grandchildren, Cei-anna, Lindsay (son Taylor), Christopher, Tyler and Chayna; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty (Thomas) Saunders, Penny (Michael) Graham and Marvin Connors; and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sons, Barry and Brad; husband, Raymond; and siblings, June Harris, Mary Ellen Pringle and Raymond Connors.
