Fort Washington, MD – Alexandra Goldin took the Thursday (Oct. 30) headlines at Rosecroft Raceway with a sweep of the evening’s two Mid-Atlantic Drivers Club events.
Goldin teamed her own trainee Dynomites Peak to a 1:55 win over eight other first-level conditioned pacers in the first division. The 6-year-old Artspeak gelding secured a three-hole ride from the pole, moved off the pegs heading into the far turn, and rallied to defeat Keystone Doral (driven by Matt Zuccarello) by a half-length.
Spencer Goldin owns Dynomites Peak, who paid $4.60 as the 6-5 second choice.
Goldin employed similar tactics in the second division, pushing forward early with Eric Davis trainee Righthererightnow before sitting just off the front flight, drafting behind a protracted duel between Pearl Harbour N (Mark Sheridan) and Girl Almighty (John James Urbanski), and hooking three-wide off the home turn to overpower runner-up Girl Almighty by a length in 1:55.3.
Susan Baker owns Righthererightnow, who paid $11.80 to win as the 9-2 third choice.
Live racing returns to Rosecroft Raceway on Sunday (Nov. 2) with a 13-race card headlined by the Grade 3 Potomac Pace and a $2,758.27 Jackpot Hi-5 carryover. First post is 2 p.m. (EST).
