Anderson, IN – Utilizing a perfect pocket trip to her advantage, Goo Goo Won and driver Travis Seekman took down the 22,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at 7-1 on Thursday (March 12) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park for her second win of the season.

Shooting out of post 5, Goo Goo Won briefly crossed over to the rail on top before 2-5 favorite Angel Hill (driven by Trace Tetrick) moved to the lead at the :27.1 opening split, with Yankee B Something (John De Long) settled into third.
Down the backstretch, Angel Hill maintained control of the field as her nine foes followed single file to the half in :55.1. Setting the pace to three-quarters in 1:23.1, Angel Hill brought the field into the stretch with Yankee B Something moving alongside first-over to challenge the favorite.
In what was shaping up to be a two-horse battle to the wire, Goo Goo Won was able to find a seam between the dueling leaders, rallying home in :27.3 to stop the clock in 1:50.4 for her 25th career victory. Yankee B Something was second, three parts of a length behind the winner, with Angel Hill settling for third.
Owned by Judith Taylor, the Fred And Ginger mare Goo Goo Won boosted her career earnings to $416,960. The 7-year-old was bred by Howard Taylor and Judith Taylor and is trained by Ron Burke.
