September led off on Friday and Saturday with eight “Grand Circuit” events.
Friday night at Mohawk was the Simcoe, a Grade 3 for 3-year-old pacing fillies and the Champlain for 2-year-old pacing fillies. In New Jersey, the fifth leg of the Grade 3 Ms. Versatility was raced at the Meadowlands. On Saturday at Scioto Downs in Ohio the Grade 2 events, “Jim Ewart Memorial” for older pacers and the “Charlie Hill” for older trotters were contested. North of the border at Woodbine Mohawk Park there was the Grade 3, Champlain for 2-year-old open pacers and the Simcoe for 3-year-old pacing colts.
Starting on Thursday north of the border there are 14 probable Grand Circuit events.
The driver, trainer, and owner categories have seen shifts but not for the lead, only for the two through ten positions. Sponsored by Winbak Farm the current standings are listed below.
