Greg Luther Racing auctions conclude with $440,000 gross

Boca Raton, FL – The final three horses from Greg Luther Racing’s 17 head consignment sold Wednesday (April 26)
afternoon at onGait.com with Circling The Prey, a 3-year-old maiden son of Huntsville, topping the list at $52,000. Chad Kowal of New York was the high bidder.

The Roll With Joe sophomore, Hot Shot Joe p,2,1:54.4f, went to Ross Bonney of New Jersey for $31,800 and No Partners p,2,Q1:58.4h, a Heston Blue Chip 3-year-old, was purchased by Doug Dunbar of Ontario for $25,400.

The entire Luther consignment grossed $440,000 for an average of $25,882. Also on Wednesday, Babs Jansen p,3,1:51.3f, a Racing Hill mare from the Virgil Morgan Jr. barn sold to Paul Lang of New Jersey for $72,200 and Odds On Gamma
p,3,1:51.4f, a 4-year-old daughter of Sweet Lou, brought a winning bid of $30,600 from Eric Good of Maryland.

Currently in the auction ring are eight horses from the Ron Burke Stable, including Loukes Perry p,3,1:52.3f, a 4-year-old brother to Jug winner Lou’s Pearlman; Racing Renegade p,5,1:52.4h-’23, which set his lifetime mark on Tuesday at Northfield and the Kadabra 5-year-old, Horoscope 5,1:55.2-’23, fresh off a 6 length score at The Meadowlands.

Established in 2001, onGait is coming off a record-breaking year in 2022 with sales of over $65 million in racehorses, yearlings and breeding stock.
