Washington, PA — Guido Di stalked Tequila Talkin from the pocket, then blew by him in the Lightning Lane to earn the win — his second straight — in Thursday’s (July 25) $21,200 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
The 1-2 favorite, Guido Di grabbed he early lead for Brady Brown but released Tequila Talkin — after stringing him out a bit. That extra effort Tequila Talkin needed to cross over may have made a difference late, as he was no match for Guido Di, who downed him by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:52.2. Commander Frank raced well first-over for third.

Dave Palone piloted four winners on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday (July 26), when the program features a pair of Arden Downs Grand Circuit stakes for freshman trotters: the $40,000 Edward M. Ryan, for fillies, and the $60,000 Robert J. Key, for colts and geldings. First post is 5:10 p.m.
