by Jeffrey Gural, Chairman of American Racing and Entertainment
Editor’s Note: The following is a press release issued by Jeffrey R. Gural, chairman of American Racing and Entertainment, in regards to his ongoing negotiations to lease Meadowlands Racetrack. As reported, I have a meeting with the State tomorrow at 9 a.m. to hopefully resolve the issue with the Thoroughbred horsemen as well as two or three other issues. As soon as that meeting ends, I will notify the USTA to let everyone know if the saga is finally over so that racing can resume as scheduled on May 7.
