Half-dozen stakes races contested at Paulding

Paulding, OH — The Paulding County Fair at Paulding, Ohio concluded its two-day meet with six stake races on Friday (June 13) morning. This program was a make-up of Wednesday’s program, which was rained out. The four overnight races that were originally scheduled on the program were cancelled.

Louis Bauslaugh steered Cooter Dunn (Neely Dunn-Sweet Edith) to victory in the 2-year-old colt trot. Renee Bauslaugh is the colt’s owner and trainer. Cooter Dunn trotted his mile in 2:21.1.

Mean Fever (Indian Fever-Mean Geraldine) captured the faster division of the 3-year-old filly pace in 2:06.3. Bill Webb owns and trains the filly with Mark Headworth doing the driving. Nancy Watson’s India (Stand Forever-Lady Callaway) took the other split in 2:06.4. Ed Fortney trains India while Ken Fortney performs the driving duties.

Owner-trainer Bill Webb and driver Mark Headworth found the winner’s circle again in the faster split of the 2-year-old colt pace with Indian Sign (Indian Fever-Bella Baby). Indian Sign’s winning time was 2:08.

The other division went to Deanariffic (Fly Fly Buckeye-Pantamweight) in 2:11.3. Rosemary LeVan is the gelding’s owner with Herb LeVan doing the training and Jack Dailey doing the driving.

Ron Steck piloted Teresa Lupton’s Dellou (Master Lavec-Sandy Chaser) to victory in the 3-year-old filly trot. Jim Lupton trains the filly, which toured the Paulding County Fair twice-around in 2:08.4.
