Hambletonian Charity Casino Night & Poker Tournament on Aug. 3

Goshen, NY — The Hambletonian Party and Poker & Casino Night Charity Event will be held Friday (Aug. 3) at Meadowlands Racetrack, East Rutherford, N.J. Proceeds will benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation and the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame.

If you are at the Meadowlands for the races on Friday (Aug. 3) or in town early for the Hambletonian on Saturday (Aug. 4), join us for some fun and camaraderie and raise funds for two charities that are important to the sport of harness racing.

Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner, open bar, dessert and $25 in casino chips. Casino chips won at table games are exchanged for raffle tickets to deposit in the baskets of the items you want to win. Tickets are drawn at the end of the evening to determine the winners. Prizes include autographed New York Yankees baseballs (Brett Gardner, Alfonso Soriano), New York Jets/New York Giants and New York Yankees/Toronto Blue Jays tickets, Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, Kindle E-Reader, Rexing V1 Car Dash Cam, Fire HD 10 Tablet, USTA Pathway credits, K-Elite Keurig, harness racing memorabilia, liquor baskets, wine baskets and more. Additional casino chips may be purchased through the night. Open bar and table games begin at 6 p.m. in the Gallery & Lounge on the second floor.

There are five silent auction items featuring:

  • Woman’s Bracelet with Yellow Gold Horseshoe set with bright white Hearts on Fire Diamonds, Rose Gold Horse head with Hearts on Fire Diamond Eye
  • Six tickets to the general manager’s suite for a 2018 New York Yankees game
  • John Campbell’s autographed colors
  • Jets/Giants preseason tickets on 50-yard line, with dining privileges in the Coaches Club
  • Framed Richard Stone Reeves print of Albatross

Poker tournament is $125 per person with limited seats available. The chip leader will receive a three-night, four-day trip for two to Las Vegas, including round-trip airfare, first-class hotel accommodations, food/beverage allowance and show tickets. Second place is $250, third $125. The poker tournament begins at 7:15 p.m. in the Gallery.
