Hamilton, NJ — With the 16th annual Hambletonian charity golf outing marking another successful year, the generosity and support of the harness racing community has helped raise $1 million for the benefiting charities.
On July 28 another gorgeous day kicked off this year’s golf outing at beautiful Montclair Golf Club in West Orange, N.J.
Sponsored and very strongly supported by The Hambletonian Society and The Meadowlands Racetrack to benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation and the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, the day included not just great golf, but a wonderful meal and a raffle.
There was also a live charity auction conducted by Hall of Famer Chuck Sylvester. Some of the sought after items included the use of the luxury stadium suite for 16 people for a New York Jets game, two international Continental Airline vouchers to the destination of your choice, tickets to Bruce Springsteen, Madonna and the New York Yankees as well as several pieces of equine art and golf themed home décor.
Both the Museum and the Foundation offer a very hearty thanks to our Hambletonian Level Sponsors, The Stallions of Blue Chip Farms and Teague Racing Inc. We also thank sponsors Roberts Communications Network, Scientific Games Racing LLC, TMC Services Inc., Arden Homestead Stable, Freehold Raceway, the Meadowlands and Monmouth Park, Schindler Elevator, I.B.E.W Local 164, Creamer Sanzari, SBOA of New Jersey, American Teletimer Corp., Jeffrey Gural/Newmark Knight Frank, C.K.G. Billings Amateur Driving Series, Horseman & Fair World Magazine, Nutramax Labs, The Perry & Martin Granoff Foundation and Jacobs Engineering Group. Our gratitude also goes out to The Meadowlands, Hambletonian Society, Montclair Golf Club and all the dedicated volunteers for all of their hard work.
