Harness Horse Youth Foundation to reach out at Pinehurst matinee

Westfield, IN — The Harness Horse Youth Foundation will offer a number of interactive experiences for race fans of all ages at the Pinehurst (N.C.) matinee, scheduled for Sunday (April 1).

The organization conducts dozens of educational programs, including overnight and day camps, across the country each year. It will be HHYF’s first trip to the Pinehurst event.

“The Pinehurst matinee makes sense for HHYF to attend because of the vast community and local support,” explains HHYF Executive Director Ellen Taylor. “The fans are already excited to be there so it only makes sense to combine a bit of education and awareness of HHYF activities. We hope that some of the attendees have children or grandchildren who might benefit from our efforts whether those be summer camps, scholarships or career information.”

The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is a charitable 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing young people and their families educational opportunities with harness horses, in order to foster the next generation of participants and fans. The Foundation has been making a difference in young people’s lives since 1976, and its programs include interactive learning experiences with these versatile animals, scholarship programs, and creation and distribution of educational materials.
