Hat trick for Page at Dayton; $10k guaranteed Pick-5 Wed.

Dayton, OH — Tuesday (Oct. 3) was a successful night at the office for Dayton Raceway’s leading driver, Chris Page, who scored a hat trick.

Page secured his first two wins of the night for trainer Sherif Cunmulaj, steering both A Long Dream (1:55.2) and Jumping The Line (1:57.2) to new lifetime marks. His third win of the evening came with Ron Burke trainee Beaus Best, who equaled his lifetime mark of 1:54.4.

The fastest mile of the night came in the opener, in which Johnny Freight scored a new lifetime mark of 1:51.2 in a conditioned event for non-winners of two races for trainer Mike Arnold. Johnny Freight made a first-over bid at the three-quarter mile marker and used a :28.3 last quarter to win by 3-1/4 lengths with driver Josh Sutton.

Wednesday’s (Oct. 4) card boasts two carryovers: $4,386.28 in the Pick-5 (races 2-6), which will now offer a $10,000 guaranteed pool, and $957.77 in the Hi-5 in race five.
