Harrington, DE – Kdk Standardbreds’ Heinkin Bythebay ($3.40, Art Stafford Jr.) was a 1:52 winner in the featured $20,000 Open Monday (May 8) at Harrington Raceway.

The 4-year-old Southwind Lynx gelding was a wire-to-wire victor from post seven, the same post he prevailed from last start on May 1. Trained by Kevin Switzer, Heinkin Bythebay held off a late charge from Bodega Bay for his sixth win of the year. Lyons Music finished third.
Heinkin Bythebay, who was a Delaware sire stakes champion at ages two and three, boosted his lifetime earnings to $385,775.
Driver Tony Morgan won the first three races on the card with On The Cards N ($4.20), Ronaldo ($4) and All The Chips ($3). Morgan later won a 4th with American Zestar ($3.60). Allan Davis and Corey Callahan each had driving doubles.
There will be a superfecta carryover ($2,866.28) to start the Tuesday (May 9) program. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
