Columbus, OH — Hoof Beats will be offering a special salute to some of our most veteran Standardbred performers this year — and we need your help.

The November issue of the magazine will be devoted to “Old Friends,” including a salute to the 2008 14-year-olds, veterinary and feeding care for older racing and retired horses, and a photo essay from award-winning photojournalist Barbara Livingston depicting racing “Old Friends,” a revisiting of champions from years gone.

We encourage you to contact us with stories you think would fit this special issue, either topics we should cover, or your own personal essays. Please e-mail your stories or suggestions to nkraft@ustrotting.com by June 1.
