Hoosier Park to hold qualifying races on Saturday

Seymour, IN — The 2007 Standardbred meet at Hoosier Park is rapidly approaching. Opening night is only about two weeks away, so activity is increasing every day at the Anderson, Ind. racetrack.

With more stables yet to arrive, the barn area at Hoosier Park opened for horses this week. The track is available daily for jogging and training, as veteran trackman John Betts continues to prepare the surface for the upcoming race meet.

The first qualifiers will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24. Entries must be made by 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23. Qualifiers will be held each Wednesday and Saturday throughout the meet, with special evening qualifiers scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, to test out the lighting system.

The first draw will be conducted on Sunday, April 1. Recently finalized, the first condition sheet is now available. Condition sheets can be obtained from Hoosier Park’s fax on demand by calling: (765) 642-7223, ext. 1088.
