Anderson, IN — As Harrah’s Hoosier Park readies for its 33rd season of live harness racing, qualifiers will get underway on Saturday (Jan. 31) in advance of the Opening Night card on Thursday, Feb. 12.
Through March, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will host qualifiers on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a first post of noon. Lasix times for starters using the medication will begin at 9 a.m.
The lone exception to the noon qualifying post time will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, where qualifiers will be contested starting at 5:30 p.m. and serve as a “dress rehearsal” for the Opening Night card the following night. The entry box will close at 11 a.m. the day prior to each qualifier.
When pari-mutuel racing gets underway on the Anderson, Ind., oval, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will race on Thursdays and Fridays before adding Wednesdays in April and Saturdays beginning in May. First post will be 5:30 p.m. The season, which will stretch through Nov. 28, will get underway with Fan Appreciation Night on Opening Night, where guests will be welcomed back to the racetrack with gift giveaways, MegaBets, mystery vouchers, free handicapping contests, and more.
