Horsy Dream impresses as winner at Vincennes

Once again French trotter Horsy Dream with Eric Raffin showed that he has speed like a rocket. Boxed in until 100 yards to go in the Prix Rene Balliere, Horsy Dream exploded when Raffin found racing room down the stretch.

Horsy Dream won easily in 1:51.2 followed by long leading Idao de Tillard with Clement Duvaldestin, who just held off Vivid Wise As with Matthieu Abrivard for second place.

This was the first start for Horsy Dream after his victory in the Elitlopp two months ago.

The Prix Rene Balliere is one of the finest races for open class trotters at Vincennes in the summer meeting and the total purse was 200,000 Euro; the winner took home 90,000 Euro.

It was a great day at Vincennes as the total purses in the nine carded races amounted to 1,408,000 Euros.

The richest races on the day were two under-saddle races, each having a total purse of 240,000 Euro.
