Tucson, AZ — Lower than normal attendance, more provocative than normal presentations by speakers, lower than normal temperatures, downward revision of budgets in line with current economic conditions, exceptional food, and presentation of the 2010 Messenger Award to Gov. Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania capsulize the story of the joint HTA-TRA annual meeting at the Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells, California last week.

The meeting also ended the six-year run of joint HTA-TRA sessions, with HTA announcing it will hold a second late year meeting in 2010, in conjunction with the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program Symposium in Tucson in early December, rather than its traditional late February or early March gathering in 2011.
