I Get It parlays pocket trip into Dover victory

Dover, DE — I Get It benefitted from a perfect journey and upset the field in the Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Feb. 20).

At the start of the race, Northern Express left for early position and took the lead from I Get It through a :27.3 first quarter. Northern Express parked out 3-5 favorite Muscle Dynasty for half a mile, dueling past the half in :56.1 before putting away his outside rival at three-quarters in 1:25 with I Get It watching all the action from the pocket.

JL Cruze circled three-wide at the top of the stretch, but his bid failed. Meanwhile, I Get It muscled his way along through along the pylons, trotting past Northern Express on the wire to win by a head in 1:55. Darbyshire finished a ground-saving third.
